Lorson Ranch, a 1,400 acre community in the southeast part of Colorado Springs at Marksheffel Road and Fontaine Boulevard, was the area’s fifth busiest neighborhood for housing permits in 2023, according to Pikes Peak Regional Building.
Lorson Ranch is a popular spot for families with employment through military operations, being just 6 miles southwest of Schriever Air Force Base, 4 miles south of Peterson Air Force Base, 6 miles south east of the Colorado Springs Airport, and 5 miles east of Fort Carson.
There were 129 new homes permitted in Lorson Ranch, 48 in Trails at Aspen Ridge, and building is just beginning in an area just south of Bradley called Bradley Heights.
